Maria Marion is an elder law attorney in the Pittsburgh area who frequently speaks at seminars on the topics of Medicaid Planning and Estate Planning. Maria also has extensive experience drafting trusts, wills, and ancillary documents. She analyzes individual needs and goals, and outlines, designs, and implements plans that meet her client's goals in the most beneficial and cost-effective way with the least possible paperwork and bureaucracy.  Because of constant changes in the law, especially in the Medicaid Planning and Estate Planning areas, Maria has intentionally narrowed the scope of services she offers to issues of concern to our older population and those who love them so that she can achieve an exceptional level of skill and be completely up-to-date in this specific area of practice.

Maria graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. degree in Political Science.  In 1994, she received her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, Maria was a member of the Law Review and received the West Publishing Company Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement.  Before entering private practice, she was a senior law clerk in the Allegheny County District Attorney's office and served as a judicial law clerk for the Court of Common Pleas of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania
